Inspirations Paint recommit as major Jets sponsor

Inspirations Paint has provided the Newcastle Jets with a major off-field boost ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season, re-signing as a Major Sponsor of the Club for a further year.

Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer, Lawrie McKinna, announced the news recently at the launch of #TheJetsHouse opposite Hunter Stadium in Broadmeadow – a painted home which has been decked out in Jets colours and branding by the Inspirations Paint for the entirety of the Club’s Hyundai A-League 2016/17 campaign.

“The Club is delighted to have retained Inspirations Paint for a second season,” Lawrie said. “Their continued commitment benefits not just the Club but also the fans, the Hunter region and the game of football.”

To symbolise Inspirations Paint’s ongoing dedication to the Club, the retailer – which has over 100 stores nationwide – painted the entire exterior of a Newcastle Jets fan’s house in Club colours.

Situated on Turton Road opposite Hunter Stadium, #TheJetsHouse is a highly visible expression of the passion and loyalty of Novocastrian football fans.

“We are passionate about paint projects and we therefore wanted to celebrate our sponsorship through a paint project,” Inspirations Paint’s Head of Marketing, Joel Goodsir, said. “Painting a fan’s home was perfect because it’s where football fandom, paint and colour collide.”

Inspirations Paint is encouraging fans to take a selfie in front of #TheJetsHouse and upload it via social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) using the hashtag this season.

Indeed, #TheJetsHouse even has its own Twitter handle, @TheJetsHouse, a parody account that will be actively tweeting throughout the fast approaching and highly anticipated Hyundai A-League campaign.

#TheJetsHouse has already gained attention of passers-by because of its loud colour scheme, and Inspirations Paint has vowed to repaint the home at the completion of the Club’s 2016/17 Season in colour’s selected by the owner.

“It’s been lots of fun working on the makeover with the homeowner, who’s a massive Jets fan,” Joel added. “This could lead to similar projects happening around the country in the future.”

As well as officially launching #TheJetsHouse, the Club unveiled its new away kits for both its Hyundai ALeague and Westfield W-League squads.

Players Nigel Boogaard, Jason Hoffman, Cassidy Davis and Jenna Kingsley were all on-hand at the launch to model the fresh look, which has changed from last season’s white to fan favourite gold, harking back to the colour worn in the Jets’ Championship year of 2008.

The away jersey features Inspirations Paint branding on the front of each shirt.

“It will be great to wear a gold strip again and I know the boys are happy with how our new away kits look and feel,” Jason, who was a member of the Club’s Championship winning squad in 2008, said. “Inspirations Paint is a really hands on partner – they recently helped me choose the right paint and colours for my first home, and I know they have helped other players and staff out in the past few months, too.”
