Adventurous marketers and business leaders from across the region will descend upon Newcastle next week to hear about all things brand marketing at The Brand Summit for 2019.
From the freezing exploits of a bonafide polar adventurer, to the cold hard facts of winning in your market with the CMO of Coles Supermarkets, and with a slight risk of getting a brain freeze from uncovering the latest marketing trends with KPMG – The Brand Summit is the perfect mid-week adventure for Novocastrians who have an interest in marketing.
Curated and presented by Enigma, the Brand Summit has become one of the Hunter’s most popular marketing summit over the past few years with attendees consistently scoring it a nine out of ten for overall satisfaction.
This year’s event is selling out fast.
Peter Chapman, MD of Enigma Newcastle, explains that making it to the top is getting harder, so event’s like this are helpful for businesses looking to explore new ideas.
“It’s getting harder and harder for brands to cut through the noise and make it to the top. We hope marketers can come and listen to some of Australia’s top marketers, thinkers and motivators to help them take their brands to new heights,” Peter said.
Lisa Ronson recently joined as CMO for Coles Supermarkets, after nearly five years as CMO for Tourism Australia.
She was voted the number one CMO for the past financial year by CMO Magazine and the Australian Marketing Institute.
Lisa is passionate about all things marketing and will be drawing on her experiences to share the power of unleashing the tribe.
Andrew ‘Billy’ Baxter is a legend in the Australian marketing world.
As Senior Adviser of KPMG’s Customer, Brand and Marketing Advisory business, he gets to delve into the future of marketing and uncover the trends that are shaping brands across Australia and around the world. He’ll be sharing his top insights with attendees at The Brand Summit.
Before joining KPMG, Billy ran the Australian operations for two of the world’s largest advertising agency networks at Ogilvy and Publicis.
Justin Jones holds a world record for the longest unsupported ski expedition, when in 2011 he and a mate skied from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole, and later he kayaked between Australia and New Zealand with his best mate.
He’s planning to share his secrets into staying determined and never giving up despite the odds.
“At Enigma, like most businesses we’ve seen the market tighten up a bit but all in all we’re lucky to be having a good year with clients both new and old. We take the role of being the largest marketing agency based outside a capital city pretty seriously and we’re passionate about bringing good business to Regional Australia,” Peter said.
Enigma pride themselves on being ranked in the top fifty marketing agencies in Australia, but are even prouder to be Newy born and bred.
“Our design team just picked up a Sydney Design Award for our work with Newcastle Writer’s Festival and one of our team members just received an Alumni Award with University of Newcastle, so I guess what I’m saying is that there is a good energy around Newcastle at the moment and we love being in the middle of it,” Peter said.
“The Brand Summit is an opportunity for us to catch up with mates, clients and the marketing community at large and we hope you can come to connect with the team and talk more about getting your brand its unfair share.”
“We’d love to see you at this year’s Summit. Each year, we’ve been blessed with great speakers, and we love meeting with and hearing from marketers throughout the Hunter about their brand journeys and what they get out of the event,” added Chapman.
The Brand Summit 2019 will be held from 5:30pm to 9:00pm at 48 Watt St, on 19 September 2019.
