Corporate social responsibility, sport and networking will all combine when the annual Divas on the Green occurs on Friday, 15 May 2015.
Now in its fifth year, the golf day event is the brainchild of local businesswomen Michelle Faithfull, and targeted towards local businesswomen.
“What initially began as a fundraising event for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service back in 2011, has since become an annual event, which now supports both the Helicopter Service and the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation,” Michelle said.
“My inspiration comes from a genuine desire to give back to the community and creating unique business opportunities where people can come together, have some fun and raise much needed funds for charity.”
The 2014 event sold out in less than two weeks, with over 150 players on the course and many more supporters contributing on the day.
Karen Harris, Owner of Bay Business Solutions said that they have already decided to sponsor the event again this year.
“We are delighted to sponsor Divas on the Green and help support the wonderful charities involved,” Karen said. The event gives us a fantastic opportunity to network with other women in business and to showcase our services.”
“It is also a great team building experience for my staff and allows us to meet some great potential clients for our business.”
Opportunities still exist for organisations to get involved as a sponsor.
“The day is an ideal opportunity for local businesses to engage with professional businesswomen and to support two very important charities in our region,” Michelle said.
“With two levels of sponsorship available, benefits include branding on all marketing material, promotion on social media and the Divas website, the opportunity to man a hole on the green and distribution of promotional material to participants on the day.”
“The event certainly wouldn’t be possible without the support of the business community.”
Divas on the Green is a unique networking event for women, which happens to involve a bit of golf, a fair amount of champagne and a whole lot of fun while raising much needed funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
