A collaboration between regions in the Hunter will see a functions, events, meetings and conferences expo be held during August.
Developed by Altogether Perfect, the expo will be held from 11.30am – 2pm on Wednesday, 10 August 2016 with an exhibition, seated lunch and entertainment.
The Altogether Perfect campaign is a cooperative marketing effort between Newcastle City Council, Destination Port Stephens and Hunter Valley Wine Tourism Association and partnered by Newcastle Airport and Destination NSW, to build the appeal of the Hunter region as a destination for business events.
Marketing Executive at Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association, Danny Eather, said many of the organisers of the events are located within the region so this expo will update event planners on the new products available and the services available within the Altogether Perfect network to assist with organising successful business events.
“The local showcase is an event that the Altogether Perfect team and its operators look forward to every year,” Danny said.
“The event gives us the opportunity to touch base with our strong and vibrant business events community across the Region, exchange new product information and write some business for the upcoming months.”
The expo will be held at the brand new Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX), which recently underwent a renovation by The Wests Group.
“We are particularly interested in showcasing NEX as a premium business events space to attract larger scale business events into Newcastle that can also provide economic benefit across the region,” Danny concluded.
Altogether Perfect is a collaborative marketing project promoting Newcastle, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley as venues for conferences and other business events.
Backed by the Newcastle Convention Bureau, Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association and Destination Port Stephens and supported by industry operators, the joint marketing group attends trade fairs and sales missions and host visits to the region by key conference organisers and media to build the appeal of the Hunter region as a premier business tourism destination.
The Altogether Perfect campaign received funding through the Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) which is managed and administered by the NSW Government's tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
