A Hunter law firm has been recognised for its expertise in two awards.
Keystone Lawyers has been named a finalist in the Australasian Law Awards in the category of State/Regional Firm of the year. Its Founder and Principal, Lou Stojanovski, has been named a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in the category of construction and infrastructure law.
Lou said he was humbled to receive both finalists’ nominations. He said the awards are a credit to his hard-working team of experts who are passionate about getting the right result for their clients.
“At Keystone we believe that our client’s success is our success,” Lou said.
“To be named a finalist in both awards shows that Keystone may be regionally based but we provide advice and service as good as anywhere in Australia.”
The Australasian Law Awards will be announced on May 23 at a black tie gala event at The Star in Sydney. More than 650 attended last year’s ceremony. Keystone is the only Newcastle-headquartered firm to make the finalist list in the Australasian Law Awards.
Lou is also the only Hunter-based lawyer to make it as a finalist in the Partner of the Year Awards. The winners will be announced on May 30 at a ceremony also at The Star.
Lawyers Weekly Editor Emma Ryan said the awards showcase outstanding performance by partners, or partner equivalent, across individual practice areas within the Australian legal industry.
She said the awards recognise those at the top of their game, who go above and beyond for their firm, clients and the community.
“With so many partners…in today’s competitive legal market, becoming a finalist is no easy feat,” Emma said.
The award nominations cap off a big year for Keystone. It has opened a Sydney office and Lou also launched the Australian first Security of Payment SOPA Toolbox App designed to help people in the construction sector to more easily navigate payments.
