Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Mike Rabbitt and Tess Borg to its board.
Mike Rabbitt is a strong advocate for business, sport and the local community and is one of Newcastle’s most recognisable faces. After retiring from his role with NBN Television in 2014, Mike continued to support his community by donating his time to a number of committees and boards. As a long-term resident of Hamilton, Mike said he is looking forward to helping the chamber enhance its role as one of the city’s most cosmopolitan suburbs.
Tess Borg is the owner of Fennel and Co, Mockingbird Café and Cranky Chef Catering and understands the important role that food plays in Hamilton. She is passionate about quality food and customer service. Her previous experience in childcare and education also drives her desire to ensure that Hamilton as an inner-city suburb of Newcastle provides the right infrastructure for families and the community.
Hamilton Chamber President, Nathan Errington, welcomed the new board members stating that their expertise and connectivity with the community would add great value to the organisation and its members.
“Tess and Mike are highly professional people who have great passion for Hamilton,” Nathan said.
“Their skills complement those of our other board members and each person will be able to contribute enormously to our efforts in promoting the unique business and lifestyle offerings in our vibrant cosmopolitan suburb.”
Mike and Tess were appointed into casual vacancy roles and join board members, Robert Burton from Beaumont Street Newsagency, Janice Musemeci of July Jones Style Boutique, Stephen Hunt of The Kent, Jim Garis from the Garis Group, Vice President Adriano Rossi from Castle Property Consultants and President Nathan Errington from Hamilton News and Gifts.
